DESCRIPTION AND BENEFITS
On this brand
new HANDS-ON
two-day workshop you will:
- find out
how potentially insecure connecting to the internet can be, what the
main risks are and how firewall technology should be used
- have HANDS-ON
access to many of the components of internetworking in the training
room
- discover
how victim systems are abused and how firewalling can reduce these threats
- learn everything
you need to conduct a firewall audit
Over two days
of hands-on activities in our Training Laboratory we'll show you everything
you need to know about firewall technology. We'll address all the key
security issues and give you a sound understanding of how to tackle a
firewall audit.
All the technical
components will be explained to you so you can understand how the various
elements work together. You'll have a chance to examine first-hand in
the Lab many of these internetworking components - PKI encryption software,
a web site, CGI programs, a firewall and much, much more.
Using your
workstations your presenter will show you how victim systems are abused
and how firewalling is used to reduce these threats.
Aimed at Computer
Auditors and Computer Security specialists, this workshop has some technical
content, but this is in breadth rather than in depth.
